The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) awarded contracts for 19 projects valued at approximately $41.6 million at a recent board meeting.

One northeast Georgia project is on the list: 25 miles of pavement marking upgrades on I-85/Ga. 403 in Banks, Franklin and Hart counties.

The work will begin north of Georgia 65 (Martin Bridge Road overpass) and extend to south of Lake Hartwell.

The project has an estimated completion date of next July 31.
