*Police say 40-year-old Nathaniel Jones was paroled from a burglary wrap Monday, but on Tuesday went to the Statesboro Walmart, smashed a display case, grabbed a BB gun, and threatened to shoot a woman and her small child. He is now locked up again and facing charges of aggravated assault and burglary.
*Georgia farmers are pushing state lawmakers to pass legislation that helps local farmers, as the cost of operating a farm is increasing. State Senator Sam Watson tells Atlanta News First some farmers are so financially burdened, they don’t know what to do.
*Georgia lawmakers are looking at a proposal that would regulate social media for children. Proposed legislation discussed this week at the State Capitol would require age verification for users 14-and-under. The plan also prevents social media from engagement that maximizes algorithms with children. The bill will be discussed again next week in committee.
