Athens intersection dedicated in memory of Vince Dooley

 The Vince Dooley Memorial Intersection was dedicated in Athens Monday, pursuant to House Resolution 522 that passed during the 2023 session of the Georgia General Assembly. It’s in downtown Athens at Broad and Lumpkin streets and honors the legendary University of Georgia football coach who died last year. Those on hand for the dedication ceremony included Gov. Brian Kemp and Dooley’s widow, Barbara, and other members of his family.
