The Athens-Clarke County Courthouse is closed this week after bed bugs were found.
Officials say the bed bug treatment will necessitate the Athens-Clarke County Courthouse remaining closed until next Monday.
The closure was recommended by the Central Services Department and Facilities Management Division after a pest control company confirmed the presence of bed bugs in certain areas of the building.
Classic City News reports this is the second closure due to bed bugs since February of last year.
Entry measures may be required once the building reopens.
The source of the bed bugs is currently unknown, and the Courthouse parking deck will remain open during the closure.
