At least seven DUI arrests were made in Hall County New Year’s Eve – and one of the drivers is facing several more charges including Fleeing and Attempting to Elude.
The first the arrests occurred about 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, according to jail reports, and the last booking, as of 8:00 Wednesday morning, was at 5:15 that morning.
The driver who is facing a lot more than a DUI charge was jailed about 3:30 a.m. There are eleven charges in all facing the 20-year-old man:
*RECKLESS DRIVING 1ST OFFENSE
*OBSTRUCTION-RESISTING OFFICER/ARREST
*STOP YIELD SIGN VIOLATION
*FLEEING OR ATTEMPTING TO ELUDE
*ALCOHOL-UNDERAGE CONSUMP/PUR/POSS/FUR TO/SELL TO MINOR
*STOP YIELD SIGN VIOLATION
*FAIL TO MAINTAIN LANE
*LICENSE – DRIVING WHILE UNLICENSED OR EXPIRED
*POSSESSION MARIJUANA LESS THAN 1 OZ. – VGCSA
*DUI – ALCOHOL/LESS SAFE
*STOP YIELD SIGN VIOLATION
Details of his arrest and what led to it are not likely to be available until Thursday morning when local law enforcement administrative offices open following the New Year’s Day holiday.
