The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and other agencies continue to urge residents to stay off the roads today. “For the most part, residents have done just that, with deputies responding to only two wrecks during the overnight/Sunday morning,” a sheriff’s office 10:00 a.m. Facebook 10:00 a.m. posting says. “Both are believed to be non-weather related.”
Vaughandale Circle between Dawsonville Highway and Sardis Road, was the only road in unincorporated parts of the county that was closed at the time. “The steep and curvy road is always among the first to close during slick conditions.”
State and local road crews were continuing to plow and treat roadways.
For timely updates, follow US National Weather Service Peachtree City Georgia and Hall County Emergency Management and “remain weather aware with more winter precipitation expected throughout the day.”
