Arson arrest made in late August fire

A 54-year-old woman, Jamie Renee Milsap, is free on $6,100 bond following her arrest on arson and other charges in connection with a late August house fire in South Hall. A Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman says she was released Saturday, one day after her arrest.

“On (Friday) the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office made an arrest following the fire investigation at Saddlehorse Drive,” Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) spokeswoman Kimberlie Ledsinger said Monday. “Investigators determined the cause to be incendiary or intentionally set after completing a thorough investigation.”

Milsap, the owner of the house, was charged with arson in the 1st degree, fraudulent insurance claims and reckless conduct.

“The investigation could not have been completed without the assistance from K-9 Apollo with the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office,” Ledsinger said.
