A 27-year-old man, wanted in connection with a nine-year-old child molestation case by Gainesville Police, has been arrested Gettysburg and returned to Gainesville.
Gerson Augustin-Gonzalez is being held on one count of child molestation and is also on immigration hold. He was picked up in Gettysburg Sunday, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
“This (is) a 2023 case filed under the Family Violence Act.,” a police department spokesman said Wednesday. “It was a child molestation case that took place in 2017 between family members. Per the warrant, (Augustin-Gonzalez) performed an immoral and indecent act to a child under the age of 16.”
He is being held without bond.
