Claims in Hall for unemployment insurance down last month

In Hall County, first-time applications decreased by seven percent in September compared to August but were up compared to a year ago by 1.6 percent.

For the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission, which includes Hall and 12 other counties, applications were up 2.1 percent over August and down13 percent when compared to September 2022.

And, statewide, claims decreased in September compared to August as well as a year ago – 1.7 percent and 2.8 percent, respectively.
