Colin Gray faces a number of charges, including two counts of second-degree murder, 19 counts of second-degree cruelty to children, and four counts of reckless conduct.
His attorneys Friday asked Barrow County Superior Court Judge Nicholas Primm to rule inadmissible certain evidence in the trial. They said police did not have a warrant and conducted an illegal search of Gray’s property after the shooting at Apalachee High School and the evidence that was collected at that time is what they want suppressed.
But District Attorney Brad Smith says bodycam footage clearly shows Gray willingly allowed officers to enter his home.
Judge Primm said he will rule on the matter within a month.
