Alleged drug trafficker jailed after HCSO raids

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has charged a Gainesville man with drug trafficking after raids Monday at two locations in town.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“(Monday) investigators executed a search warrant at the New Holland Way residence of Jacob Christian Loden, 24. Investigators found Mr. Loden in possession of a quantity of high-THC gummies (140 grams). In addition, he had in his possession a 9mm handgun. During the course of the residential search, investigators determined Mr. Loden was renting a storage unit in Hall County. A search of the storage unit led to the discovery of 53 grams of methamphetamine. The total estimated street value of the illegal narcotics is $5,000.

Mr. Loden was charged with the following felony offenses:

·         Trafficking in methamphetamine

·         Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

·         Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (THC gummies)

·         Possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime

At last check, Mr. Loden remained in the Hall County Jail with no bond.

No additional arrests are expected in this case.”
