Two traffic accidents Sunday on Browns Bridge Road caused the road to be closed for a time, snarling Easter traffic for a time both times.
The first occurred about 10:00 a.m. when a westbound vehicle veered off the off the road and struck a mailbox. Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman B.J. Willliams said when the driver tried to travel back onto the road “he overcorrected, traveled across Browns Bridge and went down an embankment.”
Williams added he was taken to the hospital for evaluation and was charged with driving too fast for conditions and failure to maintain lane.
This story will be updated when details surrounding the second accident, which occurred Sunday night near Log Cabin Road and involved a rollover crash, are released. It also involved only one vehicle.
