“In celebration of National Teen Driver Safety Week (October 19–25), AAA is hosting its “Just Drive” Teen Driver Safety Event on Saturday, October 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mall of Georgia- Village Amphitheater. This free event is designed to help young drivers build lifelong safe driving habits through interactive workshops, expert panels, and practical tips.
“Teen drivers face real risks on the road, but with the right support, they can become safe and confident behind the wheel,” said Montrae Waiters, spokeswoman for AAA-The Auto Club Group. “The ‘Just Drive’ event is about building smart habits and strong communication—because safety starts with awareness.”
AAA’s mission: empower teens and their families to buckle up, stay focused, and make smart choices behind the wheel, today and every mile ahead.
What to Expect:

Safety Spotlights
The event will highlight key driving safety principles of “Crashes Hit Different”:
· Seatbelt Safety – Buckle up every ride. It’s the simplest way to protect yourself and others.
· Speed Awareness – Driving isn’t a race. Slow down to stay safe.
· Distracted Driving – Your life is worth more than a text. Stay focused.
· Impaired Driving – Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Parent/Caring Adult Pledge
Parents are invited to sign a pledge committing to open communication, safe transportation, and modeling responsible driving behavior. This shared commitment reinforces the importance of trust and accountability between teens and their families.
Why It Matters:
