*A Gainesville company says it lost thousands of dollars to scammers recently. It was reported by Pdblowers, Inc. on Chicopee Mill Road April 3. “Line of credit opened under company name, $30K was spent, account went delinquent, and company found out,” Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email. The company is a supplier of industrial blowers, vacuum pumps, silencers, filters, and accessories, according to its website.
*In a separate case, the police department has charged a 37-year-old woman with fleeing and attempting to elude, probation violation, impeding the flow of traffic, driver’s license violation, failure to maintain lane, reckless driving, and changing lanes/slowing or stopping. Warrant Service deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested Felicia Elizabeth Chambers Monday. A request for details about the case were not provided by the police department by the end of the business day Tuesday.
