*A tornado roared through northern Lowndes County Sunday afternoon, damaging and destroying buildings, though there were no reports of injuries or deaths. The Valdosta Daily Times reports the National Weather Service sounded a tornado warning for the county around 3:15.
*Gov. Kemp says the border crisis is ruining communities. He joined more than a dozen other Republican governors Sunday in a visit to the border town of Eagle Pass, Texas, which has been the focus of recent sometimes controversial attempts to curb immigration. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has ordered crews to continue to roll out security wire, despite a Supreme Court ruling which allows the wire to be removed.
