Gwinnett County fire officials say discarded fireworks sparked a fire early Monday that heavily damaged a house in Suwanee.
GWINNETT FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES FACEBOOK POSTING:
“Overnight firefighters responded to a house fire on the 4600 block of Camber Well Lane in Suwanee.
Upon arrival crews found heavy fire on the back of the house that was extending into the attic space.
Firefighters quickly deployed attack lines and made an aggressive fire attack. The residents made it out safely and stated that they had placed used fireworks in a trash can on the rear of the house.
Firefighters on scene determined the cause of the fire to be accidental due to improper disposal of fireworks.”
