Hall County has named John Smith chief appraiser following his more than a decade of service with the county’s Tax Assessors Office.
“John has consistently demonstrated the professionalism, leadership and expertise needed to serve as Hall County’s chief appraiser,” Board of Tax Assessors Chair Jennifer Pettitt said. “His commitment to improving operations and serving taxpayers, along with the respect he has earned throughout the assessment community, makes him well prepared to lead this office.”
Smith has served as interim chief appraiser since last December when his predecessor, Steve Watson, retired. He had served as deputy chief appraiser for the past seven years.
