The investigation into the report of a sexual earlier this week in South Hall ended with the arrest of a Flowery Branch man on rape and drug charges. The sexual assault occurred at a residence in the 7400 block of Brookstone Circle in Flowery Branch, according to Flowery Branch Police.
Following an investigation, detectives developed probable cause to charge Andrew Thomas Nolt, 29,
with rape.
Tuesday, officers located Nolt on Spout and conducted a traffic stop, taking him into custody, they reported, without incident.
During the arrest, officers said they discovered a small quantity of suspected marijuana inside the vehicle
along with drug paraphernalia. As a result, Nolt was also charged with possession of
less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of a drug-related object.
