Report: NE Georgia highway one of country’s best for fall color

A mountain highway in northeast Georgia is one of the 14 best in the country for fall color, according to a travel-oriented website.

The Richard Russell Scenic Highway is perhaps better known to people around here as the first road in the area that the state Department of Transportation (GDOT) closes at the first hint of freezing precipitation.
