(SRNHEALTHCARE.COM/97.5 GLORY FM) – Homicides involving elderly victims and/or perpetrators, such as the case being investigated by Forsyth County authorities, are rare but they do happen, according srnhealthcare.com. And like the Forsyth County case, the victims are most likely to be female, family members, or acquaintances, and are elderly themselves.

“In 2018, nearly 1800 homicides were reported in the US among individuals aged 60 years or older,” the srnhealthcare.com report says.
“Several types of crimes committed by elderly criminals are considered in particular: organized and white-collar, shoplifting, homicide, drunken driving, and other types of crimes. The findings suggest that there is an increasing need for care of older offenders and a need for specialist forensic services for elderly offenders.”
