Labor Day weekend motorists faced the highest gas prices ever for this time of the year, AAA says.
The national average is $4.14 today, up four cents from last week. But the increase was even worse in Georgia and Gainesville.
The state average jumped by 12 cents a gallon to $3.89. That’s the same as the price of a gallon in Gainesville but the increase here was four cents more – 16 cents.
The national average had never been above four dollars per gallon on Labor Day, according to AAA.
