Gainesville police have arrested a 24‑year‑old man and charged him with robbing taxi drivers.
Dwayne Bailey is charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of theft of services. He’s also being held for probation violation. Hall County Jail records show he was booked Sunday.
Investigators believe Bailey used a taxi service to travel to a local apartment complex and, when asked to pay for the fare, stole money from the driver before running away.
Police said the investigation is still active and additional charges may be filed.
