A scholarship is planned at Lanier Technical College (LTC) by an aunt of the Oakwood woman who was gunned down at a South Hall convenience store July 16. A former boyfriend of Tia Vidon Keith was arrested several days later in Augusta and charged with killing her. UPDATE: Hall murder suspect back in Gville
“To honor Tia’s life, legacy, and commitment to her craft, her Aunt Deborah Keith Mack will establish the Tia Vidon Keith Memorial Cosmetology Scholarship. Beginning in 2027,” a part of her obituary reads, “the scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving student pursuing a career in cosmetology through Lanier Technical College. It is our hope that this scholarship will encourage future beauty professionals to pursue their dreams with the same passion, excellence, and heart that Tia demonstrated throughout her life…”
Keith earned her cosmetology license from the Georgia Institute of Cosmetology in Buford. She later became the owner of Divine Designs in Gainesville, also known as Royal-T Styles Salon.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday at St. John Baptist Church.
