Lula is not the only northeast Georgia community where the water supply has dwindled the past few weeks.
Hart County water officials are asking customers affected by a major water outage to stop using water entirely while crews work to restore pressure to the system. The request follows a break in a 12-inch transmission main that caused widespread outages and triggered a boil water advisory, according to Georgia News Network and Now Habersham.
Crews have been working around the clock to remove trapped air, refill storage tanks and restore service.
