Saved To Tell My Story: The Life of Holocaust Survivor George Rishfeld

As an infant in Nazi-occupied Poland, George Rishfeld was thrown over the barbed-wire fence of the Vilna Ghetto into the waiting arms of a young woman named Halinka, saved in a moment that would define the rest of his life.

At great personal risk, Halinka and her family hid and raised George throughout the war, protecting him from the horrors of the Holocaust and ensuring his survival. And he lived to tell the story of his “rescue, resilience, sacrifice, and hope.”

Now, he’s bringing his story to Gainesville at the invitation of the Chabad of Hall County July 27 2:30-4:00 at the civic center including a chance for questions from the audience. Admission is $10. Students free. Advance registration is required. Click here: Saved To Tell My Story: The Life of George Rishfeld — Jewish Hall
