A Braselton man faces first-degree vehicular homicide, DUI and other charges following a motorcycle accident that took the life of his son last weekend.
The state patrol says the accident occurred Sunday on Georgia 53 in Jackson County. Troopers say McClain Davey Ptacek, 28, lost control of his bike in a curve and struck a utility pole.
Ptacek and nine-year-old Wyatt McClain Ptacek were taken Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville where the boy was pronounced dead.
