*A Richmond Hill woman is heading to prison for a $136 million Medicare fraud. A judge sentenced Jean Wilson to ten years in prison yesterday after she pleaded guilty to fraud charges. Prosecutors say Wilson operated two telemedicine companies that submitted fraudulent claims.
*Orfael Macedo Bustos, a high-level drug trafficker who was extradited to the U.S. from Mexico late last year, has pleaded guilty to federal drug charges in connection with the importation of large quantities of cocaine from Mexico to Atlanta. The federal government says he was responsible for bringing 170 pounds of the drug into the country.
*Delta is poised to add some extra space at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Court documents s how that the Atlanta-based airline offered now-shuttered Spirit $12 million to take over two of its gates in the C concourse and the ticketing lobby. The U.S. Bankruptcy Court still needs to approve the deal.
*A Richmond County woman is facing charges in the death of her child. The sheriff’s office arrested Sanobia Gooden on multiple counts of child cruelty after the three-year-old died.
