If you have not finalized your July 4 weekend plans, remember the Corps of Engineers is offering certain facilities on Lake Lanier without charge during the three-day period. That applies to nearly 3,000 Corps-operated recreation areas nationwide.
The waiver covers fees for boat launch ramps and swimming beaches. The waiver does not apply to camping and camping-related services, or fees for specialized facilities (group picnic shelters) and events.
