The City of Gainesville will observe Independence Day Friday, July 3, resulting in unavailability of the following facilities and services:
All administrative offices, including those at the:
- Gainesville Administration Building
- Gainesville Community and Economic Development Building
- Roy Franklin Hooper Jr. Public Safety Building (Gainesville Police Department + Gainesville Fire Department)
- Gainesville Department of Water Resources Building (Queen City Parkway)
- Gainesville Civic Center (Gainesville Parks & Recreation), etc. (Frances Meadows Aquatics & Fitness Center will be open)
Gainesville-Hall County Community Service Center, including:
- Meals on Wheels
- Senior Life Center
Transportation, including:
- WeGo
- Gainesville Trolley (also unavailable Saturday, July 4)
Garbage and recycling
- The solid waste collection schedule will go unchanged the week of Fourth of July. On your designated pickup day, please be sure to set your garbage and recycling at the curb by no later than 6:30 a.m. to ensure collection.
Other
- A friendly reminder Chattahoochee Golf Club (CGC), excluding the driving range and related facilities, is currently closed for renovations.
