This is a reminder that Hall County’s administrative offices, courts, animal shelter, recycling center and libraries, as well as the Hall County Government Family Health Center and UGA Extension Office, will be closed July 3, in observance of Independence Day. The parks annual July 4 fireworks display will take place on the 4th.
HALL CO. GOVERNMENT NEWS RELEASE:
“Hall County compactor sites, as well as essential public safety and public works personnel, will continue services as normal throughout the holiday weekend.
The Hall County Landfill will remain open on Friday, July 3, but will be closed on Saturday, July 4.
Hall County’s three community centers will be open on Friday, July 3, but will close early at 6 p.m. Community centers will remain closed on Saturday, July 4, and will resume regular business hours on Sunday, July 5.
The Hall County Animal Shelter and Library System will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, July 6.
As always, many County services are available online at hallcounty.org at any time. These services include, but are not limited to, renewing a vehicle tag, paying taxes and finding a new pet.
Hall County Parks and Leisure and the American Legion Post 7 will host its annual fireworks display on Saturday, July 4, at Laurel Park, located at 3100 Old Cleveland Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30506. The fireworks display will begin at dusk; however, park gates will open at 9 a.m. at a $15 admission fee per vehicle. Other event activities will include music from a live DJ, food vendors, the Splash Pad and more!
Please keep in mind that personal fireworks are prohibited at all Hall County parks.
