Habersham Co. may extend new housing moratorium

Habersham County Commissioners this week are scheduled to consider extending a moratorium on matters related to certain housing developments.

The agenda for a board meeting includes consideration/approval of a resolution on the matter.

“…Extending the Limited Moratorium on Acceptance of Applications
For Preliminary Plat Approval for Residential Developments of Five Lots or More,” it reads, “and Rezoning to the Residential Single Family (LI-R), Residential Multi-Family (MI-R), and Planned Development
(PD) Land Use Districts.”

The commission meets Monday at the courthouse in Clarkesville.
