*A 24-year-old woman was still in the Hall County Jail as of mid-morning Sunday following her arrest Saturday afternoon on charges that include possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Jail records show that Jasmyn Norra Chambers-Miller was arrested shortly before 1:30. She is being held without bond.
*Andrew Christopher Barnes is being held without bond on a state court bench warrant after being arrested on a BUI charge and charges of operating an unregistered vessel and a vessel without lights during darkness. Barnes, who is 37, was arrested about 8:30 Saturday night and is also charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, according to Hall County Jail records.
*Cruelty to children in the 2nd degree is one of four charges facing 49-year-old Cedric Demitri Rogers, who was also arrested Saturday night, and remained in the Hall County Jail Sunday morning. The other charges are simple battery, vandalism, and false imprisonment.
*In Jackson County, three people have been charged with cruelty to children in the 1st degree. They are Joshua Autrey Willard, 34, and Heather Michelle Mangum, 42, both of Maysville, and John Allen May, 40, of Bogart. Mangum is also charged with truancy in a school attendance case.
More information on all of these cases is not likely to be available until at least Monday morning when local law enforcement administrative offices reopen following the weekend.
