The driver of an 18-wheeler hauling live chickens that wrecked on Browns Bridge Road early Thursday escaped with minor injuries, according to the state patrol. One lane of the road was closed for several hours as a result of the crash.
STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(About 4:30, a trooper was) dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Browns Bridge Road in the area of Fincher Drive.
Upon arrival, the trooper determined a tractor trailer, driven by Tommy Grizzle, 62, from Blairsville, was traveling east Browns Bridge Road and the driver failed to maintain his lane and traveled off the south side of the roadway causing the tractor trailer to overturn.
There were minor reported injuries for Mr. Grizzle, and he was cited for Failure to Maintain Lane.”
