Oakwood PD: Fugitive arrested

A 17-year-old Gainesville man wanted by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office was being held without bond early Friday following his arrest Wednesday in Oakwood. But Oakwood Police say he didn’t go quietly.

OAKWOOD POLICE NEWS RELEASE:

Officers received an anonymous that a wanted man later identified as Ethan Flores was hiding out at the Jameson Inn on Thurmon Tanner Parkway. The anonymous tipster told officers what room Flores was in and that he had felony warrants through the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. 

Police verified these warrants and made contact with the suspect at the Jameson Inn. He refused to exit the room and at which time Oakwood PD officers forced entry into the room. They were able to take him into custody after a brief struggle. Suspected marijuana was located in his room. 

Flores was taken to the Hall County Jail.

He is charged with:

*POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

*POSS/CTRL/MANUF/DEL/DIST/DISP/PURCH/SELL/W/INTENT MARIJUANA

*OBSTRUCTION-RESISTING OFFICER/ARREST

*TAMPERING W/ EVIDENCE

*SUPERIOR COURT ARREST ORDER

*FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR A TRAFFIC VIOLATION
