A second woman arrested in recent days on child cruelty charges remained in the Hall County Jail late Tuesday afternoon in lieu of bonds totaling $11,200. Sheriff’s deputies arrested her Friday for pepper-spraying a child, according to the sheriff’s office.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“At approximately 6:45 p.m., deputies responded to a report of an assault in progress at a residence in the 5800 block of Maiden Lane.
According to the initial investigation, the child took a female family member’s purse. When she retrieved it, the child, 8, took pepper spray from a keychain attached to the purse and ran around the yard. When the family member, identified as Jessica Celeste Williams, 46, got the pepper spray back from the boy, she sprayed him in the face.
Hall County Fire Rescue responded and decontaminated the boy. Deputies arrested Williams and charged her with second-degree cruelty to children, a felony…”
