An agreement with the Corps of Engineers, plans for new industrial sites, a 700-unit housing development as well as other smaller subdivisions, and apartments are among the items on the agendas for this week’s Hall County Commission work session.
The agreement with the Corps is for the county operation of eleven parks on Lake Lanier. The industrial site is planned on a 14-acre tract on Athens Highway near its intersection with Bluffton Drive. The 700-unit housing development is proposed for Old Winder Highway at its intersection with Pleasant Hill Lane which was tabled at the commission’s Feb. 26 meeting as well as an industrial park on 194 companion acres. And the apartments are duplexes proposed for Liberty Street at Highland Street.
