It’s 3/4 of a century for a north Gville landmark

Seventy-five years after it opened, a landmark “mom-and-pop” grocery on Gainesville’s northside is still at it.

Green’s Grocery on Ronnie Green Parkway continues in the same location that it’s occupied since it opened.

“We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve the community! Thank y’all!!!” current owner Ed Waller recently wrote on a Facebook post.

Ronnie Green Parkway is named in memory of the original owners’ son as is the Ronnie Green Heart Center at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.
