Valley Road between Crepe Myrtle Lane and Blue Ridge Drive will be closed to thru traffic starting Monday through March 27.
The temporary closure will allow Gainesville Water Resources to complete water main improvements in the area.
City officials are advising motorists who do travel through the area to drive carefully, follow all detour signs, and watch for construction workers and equipment during this time.
