A 62-year-old man remained behind bars in Gainesville early Saturday following a chase Thursday morning that ended with him wrecking his car and leading a state trooper on a brief foot chase. Raymond Gaudlock, Jr., was also wanted by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(About 10:00 a.m.) a Trooper observed a gold Buick LeSabre traveling south on Harmony Church Rd in Hall County. The Buick had a broken windshield, and the Trooper attempted to stop the vehicle for the violation.
When he turned around and activated his emergency equipment, the driver failed to maintain his lane and accelerated. The Trooper checked the vehicle at 94 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour zone. When he got closer, the driver failed to stop for the emergency equipment and turned right onto Rolling Ridge. The driver of the Buick continued to flee and the Trooper conducted a successful PIT maneuver, causing the Buick to travel off the roadway and strike a mailbox.
The driver then exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The suspect was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. It was determined that the suspect was wanted out of Hall County, had a suspended license, cancelled registration, and no insurance.”
