Congressman Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson) has announced the nomination of 16 students from the 9th District as candidates to the country’s service academies. Each student was nominated to one or more of the academies.
The group is dominated by Gwinnett County students:

Mason Litt of Buford, | Buford High School | USMA
Marcus Major of Buford, U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School | USAFA

The nominees were recommended by his Service Academy Advisory Board after an interview process, which involved students’ academic achievements, leadership skills, and physical aptitude.
The students will enter their respective academies this summer.
