As the recovery from the weekend ice storm continues and more people venture out, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is reporting an increase in traffic accidents.
‘We’re asking you to remain in cold-weather mode for at least another 12 hours. (Make it 15 to be on the safe side.),” a Monday night Facebook posting reads.
“As more motorists returned to the roads today, our patrol deputies noticed an increase in traffic accidents, including a few in parking lots where vehicles slid on ice. There are concerns about black ice overnight as low temps will be in the low to mid-teens. All of that to say, stay off the roads unless you have an emergency.”
