Little change in Georgia drought; lake level unchnged

There were miniscule changes in the drought in Geogia the past seven days.

All of the state remains in the throes of the drought in one degree or another with the most serious conditions in four counties near the South Carolina line – Elbert, Madison, Wilkes, and Oglethorpe – along with pockets of counties in west Central, southwest, and southeast Georgia.

Hall County and the remainder of northeast Georgia remain “moderately” dry.

The least-affected area in the state is in northwest Georgia.

And the level of Lake Lanier is holding at 1065.4, the same as it was seven days ago.
