Gainesville’s annual MLK March will be held today beginning at noon at Peach State Bank & Trust on E.E. Butler Parkway.
The theme this year is “It takes all of us.” Sponsored by the Newtown Florist Club, participants are being asked to assemble at that site starting at 11:00. “We march for peace, unity and justice,” a posting on the club’s Facebook page says.
Meanwhile, the club will also host the premiere of “We’ve Come This Far by Faith: The E.E. Butler High School Story” Monday at 1:00 at Regal Hollywood Theatre on Dawsonville Highway.
