Hall County’s administrative offices, community centers, courts, animal shelter, libraries, recycling center and landfill, as well as the Hall County Government Family Health Center and UGA Extension Office, will be closed Thursday.
Additionally, all library branches and community centers will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, while the UGA Extension Office will be closed all day on Wednesday.
Essential public safety and public works personnel will continue service as usual during the holiday, and compactor sites will operate during regular business hours.
As a reminder, many services are available online, including the renewal of vehicle tags, payment of taxes and more.
GAINESVILLE
Gainesville will also observe New Year’s on Thursday resulting in several facilities being closed and a number of services unavailable. Specifically, all administrative offices, community services and garbage collection will be closed or unavailable. Regular business hours will resume Friday.
