GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“On October 8, 2023, at approximately 9:39 a.m,, Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on I-985 in Hall County.
The investigation determined a 2006 Acura 3.2TL was traveling north on I-985, north on HF Reed Industrial Blvd. The driver, Mr. Javier Velez of Gainesville, Georgia, failed to maintain his lane, traveled off the roadway left and struck a guardrail. After striking the guardrail, the Acura overturned in the median.
Mr. Velez was transported to NEGA Medical Center in Gainesville for minor injuries. The driver is suspected to be DUI and warrants will be obtained. “
