Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies arrested a Norcross man late Tuesday night when he returned to the residence where he punched a woman in her face several times earlier in the evening. But he ended facing charges other than those related to the domestic incident.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“According to the preliminary investigation, Raul Ricardo Zaragoza, 43, struck the victim, 54, during a domestic dispute at a house in the 6000 block of Amherst Drive. The victim suffered a cut lip during the incident that happened between 6 and 7 p.m. Zaragoza left the scene before deputies’ arrival in a 2012 Hyundai Genesis that belonged to a family member of the victim.
Deputies took Raul Ricardo Zaragoza, 43, into custody at roughly 10 p.m. when he returned to the home in the car he previously took. They charged him with battery under the Family Violence Act (misdemeanor) and theft by taking (felony).
