Ticket sold in Cumming among latest Powerball winners

GA. LOTTERY NEWS RELEASE:

“A Georgia Lottery player won $200,000 in the Dec. 17 Powerball drawing as the jackpot soared to $1.5 billion, the fifth largest in the game’s history. The ticket, purchased at Flint River Grocery, 2450 Pine Street in Unadilla, matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball. Because the player selected the Power Play option, the prize was quadrupled from $50,000. Another player won $50,000 in the same drawing with a ticket from Quiktrip, 1655 Buford Highway in Cumming. The next Powerball drawing will be Dec. 20.

Another player won a $1 million top prize playing the 50X The Money scratcher from the Georgia Lottery. The ticket was purchased at Murphy Oil, 505 Veterans Parkway South in Moultrie. The winner claimed their prize on Dec. 15 and selected the cash option for $809,000. Last week, Georgia Lottery players claimed $42,310,532 in winnings from scratch-off games.

In addition, several players won prizes playing Diggi Games on the Georgia Lottery mobile app and website:

  • Woodstock resident won $757,841 playing Elephant King Jackpots on Dec. 17.
  • A player in Fayetteville won $10,000 playing Precious Elements on Dec. 17.
  • Conyers player won $10,000 playing Jingle Jackpots on Dec. 17.
  • Marietta resident won $10,000 playing Elephant King Jackpots on Dec. 16.

Finally, there was a $10,000 top prize ticket sold for the Dec. 16 midday drawing of Georgia FIVE at Publix, 840 Glynn Street in Fayetteville.”
