A new report has put together what its authors describe as the five cities and towns in Georgia that will be at the forefront of Georgia’s “remarkable growth” by 2050. And Gainesville is one of them, along with Chamblee, McDonough, Kennesaw, and Canton.
“Georgia is on a remarkable growth trajectory, setting the stage for transformation across its urban and suburban landscapes by 2050,” the Mebane Enterprise report begins. “As population influx and economic development surge, particular towns are emerging as future hubs critical to the state’s prosperity.”
The study highlights the towns that will play “significant roles by mid-century, driven by expanding industries, improving infrastructure, and increasing livability.”
What does it say about Gainesville?
“Known as the “Poultry Capital of the World,” Gainesville offers a unique blend of industry and lifestyle with its scenic location on Lake Lanier. The city’s growth rate of over 4% recently complements a median home price around $542,500, signaling both economic vitality and residential demand.
“As water-based recreation and manufacturing sectors thrive, Gainesville represents a balanced future of commerce and quality living.”
