Much colder weather returning

North Georgians are waking this Thanksgiving Day to another round of much colder weather than we’ve been having the past few days and just a couple of weeks since such a cold spell hit.

“Following some much-needed rainfall, drier and cooler weather returns to round out the work week,” the National Weather Service (NWS) says. “Temperatures Thursday and Friday nights will likely dip near or below freezing areawide. (And it will be windy.) Any rainfall looks to hold off until early next week.”

In addition, forecasters say, the drier and breezy conditions will serve to increase the fire danger Thursday and Friday.
