The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) has appealed a judge’s ruling against it and the Gainesville High playoff game has been postponed.
EARLIER STORY. POSTED AT 5:15 P.M.:
Hall County Superior Court Judge Clint Bearden has ruled in favor of the Gainesville High School football team and has granted an injunction against the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), keeping it from enforcing the suspension of 34 players involved in the fight last Friday in Brunswick.
Gainesville will have all but one player that was originally suspended by the GHSA for Friday’s quarter-finals Class 5-A state playoff game against top-ranked Langston Hughes in Fairburn.
